About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading manufacturer of power distribution and electrical switchboards in Wadeville, Germiston, is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join their operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical switchboards and power distribution boards, while also engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical switchboards and power distribution boards
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine costings
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
- Evaluate commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation
- Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align estimates with operational capabilities
- Review and refine costing models to improve accuracy and competitiveness
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating within electric switchboard or power distribution board manufacturing
- Proven commercial estimating experience (not purely quote processing)
- Matric qualification (tertiary qualification advantageous but not mandatory)
