About the Role
Jalusi Corporation is seeking a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our purchasing team, committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services that meet our company’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Create and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services
- Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed decisions about sourcing and purchasing
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop purchasing strategies
- Prepare and submit purchase orders to vendors, track and expedite orders as necessary
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on purchasing activities and resolve any issues that may arise
Requirements
- National Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Purchasing (CIPS) or other relevant qualifications
- Matric Drivers Licence (advantageous)
- 2-3 years of purchasing experience with an excellent understanding of products/services and costing thereof
