Gauteng: Estimator – Modular Engineering Solutions posted by Network Finance

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost models for modular engineering solutions, FEED deliverables, EPS conversions, and standard/configurable modules.
• Estimate labour, materials, fabrication, electrical/instrumentation builds, logistics, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle costs.
• Collaborate with technical specialists (PPE, PPF, PPAE) to gather inputs, vendor pricing, discipline rates, and resource requirements.
• Ensure all estimates align with internal cost structures, overheads, multipliers, and approved pricing frameworks.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication to confirm quantities, BOQs, durations, and underlying assumptions.
• Support the Bid & Proposals Lead with pricing summaries, commercial schedules, and risk-adjusted costings.
• Review historical data, benchmark pricing, and lessons learned to maintain accuracy and competitiveness.
• Identify commercial risks, uncertainties, and major cost drivers—highlighting potential margin exposures.
• Maintain alignment between conceptual costings, FEED-level estimates, and final EPS pricing.
• Build and maintain estimation libraries, cost databases, and reusable cost templates for future proposals.

• This role does not include direct reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in estimating within engineering, EPC, modular design, fabrication, or related project environments.
• Strong costing methodology skills and an ability to analyse technical data.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to interface with multi-disciplinary teams.
• High attention to detail, structured thinking, and strong commercial awareness.
• Proficiency with cost modelling tools, BOQ development, and vendor pricing assessments.
