Job Description

Factory Manager Flexible Packaging Job Summary A Production Manager in flexible packaging oversees the entire production process, ensuring efficient and high-quality output while managing staff and resources. They play a crucial role in meeting production targets, maintaining product quality, and controlling costs within a manufacturing environment, particularly in the packaging industry. Specific knowledge of flexible packaging materials: such as plastics, films, and laminates. Experience with specific packaging processes: like printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations: related to food safety, packaging materials, and environmental regulations. Minimum Requirements Min 8 years proven experience in a similar role, Experience in the print and packaging industry, Working knowledge of ISO and FSSC, Strong leadership and communication skills, Knowledge of printing processes and techniques, Problem-solving and analytical skills. Laminating and pouch experience would be an advantage Responsibilities defined but not limited to the below. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Execution: Developing and managing production schedules, optimizing workflow, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet deadlines and production targets. Staff Management Leading, motivating, and supervising production teams, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and support. Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications. Cost Management: Monitoring production costs, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring production equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed. Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment. Process Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in the production process and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Required Skills and Experience: Production Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of packaging production processes, equipment, and materials. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify and resolve production issues and make sound decisions under pressure. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, other departments, and management. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills to manage production schedules, workflows, and resources effectively.
