Duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, setting guidelines and reviewing departmental budgets.
- Design and implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.
- Develop and implement cash management strategies, including optimizing working capital.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of business decisions.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Garde 12)
- BCom Accounting / Finance or Management Accounting
- BCom Accounting Honours / CTA / Finance or Management Accounting
- CA(SA) / CIMA
Experience:
- Completed SAICA Articles.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a financial management or controller role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
