Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:
- Direct all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes
- Manage cash flow and working capital effectively
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Dealership Financial Operations:
- Oversee dealership-level financial performance analysis and reporting
- Manage vehicle inventory valuation and stock control processes
- Analyze sales performance metrics and provide actionable insights
- Support dealership operations with financial data for optimal decision-making
- Implement cost control measures to improve profit margins
System Management:
- Lead the Evolve accounting system operations and optimization
- Ensure system integration with other dealership management platforms
- Develop custom reports and financial dashboards using Evolve
- Train and support finance team members on Evolve functionality
- Stay current with system updates and implement new features
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of finance professionals across various functions
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance departmental capabilities
- Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Qualifications:
- CA(SA) or equivalent financial qualification
- Minimum 5-7 years of financial management experience in the automotive dealership or retail sector
- Extensive hands-on experience with Evolve accounting software
- Proven track record in financial management
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) advantages
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Evolve system configuration and reporting capabilities
- Expert in automotive dealership financial metrics and KPI development
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced dealership environment
