About the Role
The Head of Finance at Flair TM is a critical leadership role that requires a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in financial management, investor relations, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial guidance to support business planning, expansion, and investor decision-making, while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial insight, budgeting, and strategic advice to support business planning, expansion, and investor decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost control initiatives across multiple campuses and properties.
- Oversee procurement, corporate finance, and risk management processes.
- Manage investor relations, Board reporting, and strategic financial communications.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance standards, including PFMA, Companies Act, and education-specific financial regulations.
- Implement finance systems, ERP, and technology solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance, compliance, and procurement teams.
- Present management accounts, KPI reporting, and financial analysis to the executive team, Board, and investors.
Requirements
- CA(SA) preferred, or minimum BCom Accounting with 15+ years post-articles experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior finance roles, ideally in private education or property management.
- Proven experience with investor relations, corporate finance, property portfolio management, and budgeting oversight.
- Experience working with Boards, senior executives, and multi-site operations.
