About the Role
The Plant and Yard Assistant – Construction / Plant Operations role is an operational support position that ensures efficient plant, asset, and yard control in line with BOS standards. This hands-on role involves supporting asset management, yard operations, and administration to ensure plant availability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with plant, asset, and yard operations per BOS process flow
- Conduct pre- and post-inspections on internal and external assets
- Perform minor maintenance and monitor preventative maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate asset, service, calibration, and audit records
- Support stock takes and asset register updates
- Ensure documentation for drivers, operators, and labour is complete and on time
- Assist with yard, building, and premises upkeep
- Support SHEQ compliance and reporting
- Provide operational support to Plant and Yard Manager
Requirements
- Grade 12
- 2+ years technical or plant-related experience
- Hands-on, operational mindset
- Basic mechanical and plant knowledge
