5 – 7 years within a similar role (HVAC Manager) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in project management / supervision and adherence to service level agreements.
Provel ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs;
Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommendations subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding the team accountable for performance.
Adapt at conducting research into project-related issues and projects
Possess a strong personal desire for improvement; and the desire motivate HVAC Technicians to be better tomorrow than they are today.
Experience working both independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
Relevant Diploma, / Degree in Project Management
Diploma / Degree in Business Management | N2 – N6 Certified
Possession of a valid driver’s licence | Gas Practitioner certified (mandatory)
Trade Qualified Refrigeration / Airconditioning Technician / Mechanic (Industrial/Commercial) Knowledge:
Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems
Sound understanding of contracting principles and contractor management.
Intermediate financial management knowledge
Must be able to learn and apply new technologies
Has the ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics, and control circuits relating to HVAC and Refrigeration systems
Intermediate knowledge of proficiency and command of Work, Excel and Report Writing.
High level of Health and Safety requirement for operations and projects Skills / Qualities

- Participate and/or conduct regular scheduled departmental meetings with staff and management
- Conduct staff performance appraisals / reviews and set improvement goals as per company requirements.
- Identify and promote staff development and training
- Manage individual and group employee performance and outputs.
- Manage, review and approve employee timesheets and leave

- Plan and coordinate planned maintenance schedules |
– Manage repair volumes - Conduct periodic site quality inspections |
– Analyse cost on repairs - Schedule, direct and provide technical support to HVAC Technical teams to meet service demands and customer expectations

– Quick identification and diagnosis of faulty equipment - Analysing costs on repairs |
– Scheduling of maintenance and repairs of HVAC Units and systems - Management of periodic audits including:
- Ensure periodic site audits and quality inspections are done timeously;
- Submit relevant reports to management |
– Act on non-compliance and deviations - Ensure relevant administration and documentation is completed and submitted to designated role players | Project planning and scheduling
- Manage all aspect of multiple projects to ensure the overall goal is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic goals including:
- Managing time, budget and quality |
– Timeous completion of projects - Managing work activities and resources
- Oversight, approval and ordering of equipment and spare
Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements (information/knowledge sharing)

– Timeous submission of periodic reports - Attend to client complaints and resolve through problem-solving
- Determine clients needs and goals in order to exceed client expectations
- Built and maintain rapport and interpersonal relationships with contractors
- Provide feedback on jobs to relevant stakeholders
- Work with other departmental teams to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

- Compile and submit periodic and on-demand reports to management
