Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and implement import strategies to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor and optimize lead times, ensuring timely delivery of imported goods.
• Manage and resolve import-related issues, including discrepancies, delays, and supplier challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, and finance) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay up to date with market trends, import regulations, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on import activities, costs, and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
• Currently employed as an Imports Manager within the retail industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an imports management role.
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
• Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other relevant ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
