Role Overview
As an Integration Analyst / API Designer, you will:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical integration solutions
- Design RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Define API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Lead API governance and best practices
- Work with middleware, iPaaS, and ESB platforms
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance of integrations
- Design and document APIs and integration patterns
- Develop system mapping and data transformation logic
- Support API lifecycle management (design → deploy → monitor → versioning)
- Conduct API reviews and enforce governance standards
- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance
- Work closely with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration
- Maintain API documentation and developer portals
Qualifications
- 5 – 10 + years in integration, API design, or related roles
- Strong experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
- Experience with API management tools (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, Azure API Management)
- Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and API security best practices
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
