Requirements

• Trade Test Qualification as a Boilermaker (Red Seal – essential).
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a fabrication or heavy engineering environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience in welding, structural fabrication, and cutting processes.
• Knowledge of mining equipment fabrication will be an advantage.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair steel structures and components used in mining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform welding (MIG/TIG/ARC) and cutting using various tools and techniques.
• Conduct inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with SABS, ISO, and company quality standards.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
• Assist with maintenance, modification, and rebuilds of mining machinery and components.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and statutory requirements at all times.
