Job Description
- Grade 12 essential.
- Diploma /certificate in credit control / financial management would be an advantage.
- Ideally from FMCG industry, experience in handling large retail accounts ie Pick n Pay, Shoprite etc
- Credit control experience relevant to the job outputs.
- Working knowledge of financial systems e.g. Syspro
- Intermediate excel skills.
- Good numerical reasoning.

Duties will include
- Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor age analysis, follow up on overdue accounts (60+ days), and escalate unresolved issues to management.
- Customer Communication & Collections: Regular calls and emails to secure payment commitments and resolve outstanding claims.
- Claims & Deductions Processing: Investigate outstanding claims (returns, shortages, pricing issues) and obtain approvals before processing.
- Payment Allocation & Bank Reconciliation: Identify payments, allocate them accurately, and ensure rebates/discounts align with trade agreements.
- Order & Credit Management: Release held orders, maintain customer credit limits, and obtain necessary approvals for over-limit orders.
- Customer Master Data Maintenance: Update and manage customer details, payment terms, and trade agreements.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide feedback on overdue accounts, reconcile statements, and ensure timely submission of schedules.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain relationships with internal teams and external customers to enhance efficiency.
- Prioritization & Compliance: Ensure deadlines are met, statements and invoices are sent on time, and ad hoc tasks are completed as required
