Duties:
 

• Oversee and sign off group consolidations and reporting
• Overseeing the monthly group consolidation and reporting
• Presentation of group consolidated results to the group’s executive
• Preparation of group reporting templates and coordinating quarterly, interim and year end reporting across the group.
• Preparation of group consolidated financial statements for half year and full year results.
• Preparation of technical accounting papers relating to group accounting issues;
• Reviewing of technical accounting papers and opinions prepared by subsidiaries;
• Review of and providing insights into the various aspects of group tax reporting;
• Build, manage and motivate a high performing team.

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
 
Qualifications:
 

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom / CTA
• CA(SA)

 
Experience:
 

• Completed Articles
• 6 – 8 years post articles experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
• Proven experience in preparation of group consolidations, group technical accounting, reporting, and group taxation.
• Proven experience in preparation of group consolidated AFS in line with IFRS.

 
Skills & Competencies:
 

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound IFRS knowledge (proven knowledge of IFRS 9 will be highly beneficial)
• JSE reporting knowledge will be beneficial (SENS, Short form advert, assistance with investor relations presentations)
• Strong reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
• High integrity, principles and level-headed.
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment and adhere to deadlines.
• Team player.
• Ability to take initiative and work with limited instructions / guidance.
