• Assess plant equipment and identify wear, abrasion, and corrosion challenges
• Design and specify wear lining solutions (ceramic, rubber, polyurethane, composite linings)
• Recommend and oversee corrosion protection systems and industrial coatings
• Plan and supervise site installations and maintenance projects
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and troubleshooting
• Engage with clients, present technical solutions, and provide ongoing support
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop cost-effective and durable solutions

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar
• 3–6 years’ experience in: Wear lining / liner systems, Corrosion protection / industrial coatings, Bulk materials handling or mining environments

• Experience on mining or heavy industrial sites (essential)

• Knowledge of:
• Ceramic, rubber, or polyurethane lining systems
• Protective coatings and surface preparation standards (SANS / SSPC advantageous)

• Ability to diagnose equipment wear and failure issues
