About the Role
We are seeking a Temporary Legal Practitioner to join our client’s team on a 6-month contract basis in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will provide general legal advisory support across the organisation, conduct legal research and prepare opinions, and assist with policy development and legal compliance documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, and reviewing contracts, SLAs, and MOUs
- Conducting legal research and preparing opinions
- Supporting litigation processes and coordinating with external attorneys
- Assisting with policy development and legal compliance documentation
- Providing general legal advisory support across the organisation
- Supporting labour-related matters and internal legal processes
- Maintaining legal and risk registers, and contributing to compliance tracking
- Preparing reports and submissions for executive stakeholders
Requirements
Completed LLB Degree
Admission as Attorney/Advocate
3–5 years post admission experience in public sector
Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, SLAs and MOUs, drafting legal opinions & policies.
