Reports To: Supply Chain / Operations Management
Purpose of the Role
The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials, products and information across the organisation.
The role focuses on planning, monitoring and coordinating procurement, inventory, production support and dispatch functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency.
This role is suited to a highly organised, detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate daily supply chain activities across procurement, inventory control, production support and dispatch
- Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory availability aligned to production and sales requirements
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods
- Support demand planning and production scheduling processes
- Assist with dispatch planning and coordination to ensure on-time delivery performance
- Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Assist with the creation, tracking and follow-up of purchase orders
- Maintain strong communication with suppliers to manage lead times, delays and supply risks
- Support procurement processes to ensure continuity of supply
- Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Assist with stock control processes including cycle counts, stock counts and audits
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth operational flow
- Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance, including shortages, delays and risks
- Identify and escalate issues impacting supply chain efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate capturing and maintenance of all supply chain documentation and records
- Maintain organised filing systems and proper document control practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health, safety and quality standards
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, warehouse and quality teams to ensure operational alignment
- Resolve supply chain-related queries and escalate where necessary
- Support operational teams in achieving efficiency and service delivery targets
- General Operational Support
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the supply chain environment
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in a supply chain, logistics or coordination role
- Experience within FMCG or manufacturing environments (advantageous)
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. Syspro advantageous)
- Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel

- Must be based in or willing to work in the Kempton Park area
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, operationally driven environment
