About the Role
Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Firearm Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our security training division, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality firearm training sessions, managing training administration, and promoting discipline among our Security Officers. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical and practical firearm training sessions.
- Manage training administration and maintain accurate training records.
- Facilitate training programs accredited by SAPFTC, SASSETA, PSIRA, and in-house courses.
- Promote discipline and professionalism among BPC Security Officers.
- Ensure all training interventions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with PSIRA.
- Competencies in:
- Supervise firearm training
- Supervise shooting exercises
- Conduct Outcome Based Assessments
- Apply moral decision making and problem solving
- Conduct targeted training and development using methodologies
Qualifications
- Valid SAPS competency certificates for Handgun, Self-loading Rifle, and Shotgun.
- Experience in Crowd Management training is a plus.
