About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our retail operations in George, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record of driving sales and profitability targets while managing large teams and developing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of store operations to meet sales and profitability targets
- Ensure merchandise availability, manage inventory, and authorise contracts
- Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies
- Analyse financial and operational reports to improve efficiency and sales
- Uphold legal and company compliance, including OHS and regulatory requirements
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure service excellence
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, performance management, and HR matters
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met
- Monitor and control budgets, expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in retail sales/marketing
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Experience managing large teams and retail environments
- Solid knowledge of compliance, stock control, and retail strategy
