About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team in George, who will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and human resources, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Process documentation and preparing reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations etc.)
- Scheduling meetings, interviews, and general appointments
- Coordinating HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.)
- Conducting initial orientation to newly hired employees
- Assisting with Company culture, team building, and events
- Issuing of employment contracts, warnings, and other HR-related documents
- Overseeing all IODs matters
- Managing student attendance registers, logbooks, and the clocking system (capture of leave, sick leave etc.)
- Managing databases and filing systems
- Typing, compiling, and preparing reports
- Handling general emails as per instruction
- Taking meeting minutes
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in a similar HR role
- Matric / Grade 12 post-secondary education in an HR-related field would be advantageous
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills in conveying financial information and interacting with colleagues
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in handling administrative tasks
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
