Germiston: Financial Accountant posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our client’s team based in Germiston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established company in the finance industry.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with the finance team and other stakeholders to provide accurate financial information and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, reconcile, and allocate foreign creditors payments on Syspro.
• Maintain the forex register.
• Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Prepare and capture weekly COD payments; load all payments for release by the Financial Manager (FM) and Managing Director (MD).
• Capture transactions in the cash book for all bank accounts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
• Reconcile and balance monthly inter-company accounts.
• Keep the company documentation file up-to-date.
• Complete and submit supplier credit applications with the necessary documents.
• Process diesel transactions.
• Apply for fleet cards and manage petrol usage.
• Process company credit card transactions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist auditors with relevant documentation during reviews.
• Assist with managing debtors and creditors.
• Maintain BBBEE level and assist with related audits.
• Maintain and capture entries in the Fixed Asset Register.

Requirements:

• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-5 years of working experience as a Financial Accountant in a Chemical or related field.
• Experience with Syspro is beneficial; proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
