About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our client’s team based in Germiston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established company in the finance industry, where you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, reconcile, and allocate foreign creditors payments on Syspro.
- Maintain the forex register.
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes.
- Prepare and capture weekly COD payments; load all payments for release by the Financial Manager (FM) and Managing Director (MD).
- Capture transactions in the cash book for all bank accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Reconcile and balance monthly inter-company accounts.
- Keep the company documentation file up-to-date.
- Complete and submit supplier credit applications with the necessary documents.
- Process diesel transactions.
- Apply for fleet cards and manage petrol usage.
- Process company credit card transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist auditors with relevant documentation during reviews.
- Assist with managing debtors and creditors.
- Maintain BBBEE level and assist with related audits.
- Maintain and capture entries in the Fixed Asset Register.
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 years of working experience as a Financial Accountant in a Chemical or related field.
- Experience with Syspro is beneficial; proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
