About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sales Manager / Technical Sales professional to join our team in Germiston. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strong relationships with contractors, designers, and DIY customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling tools, doors, screws etc. to the hardware industry
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve sales targets in both DIY retail and commercial contracting sectors
  • Build relationships with contractors, designers, and DIY customers, providing professional product advice and solutions
  • Support, train, and mentor junior sales representatives or showroom staff to maintain high performance
  • Handle large-scale commercial bids and project coordination while managing day-to-day retail/DIY floor sales, stock levels, and inventory

Requirements

  • Matric / High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Tertiary Education in Sales or Business is beneficial
  • 2 – 4 Years in flooring sales, with prior experience as a top-performing sales representative
  • Strong knowledge of flooring types, installation methods, and materials
  • Understanding of the hardware industry (Cashbuild / Mica / Builders warehouse etc.)
  • Understanding of rebates and ability to negotiate
  • Own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence
  • Good communication skills, fluent in English and Afrikaans
