About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in Germiston, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and purchasing, with a proven track record of success in managing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement processes from initiation to completion
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform procurement decisions
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze and report on procurement performance metrics
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing or Procurement
- 3-4 years operational experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Buying environment
- Preferably in a similar industry
- Valid drivers license
- Computer Literacy
- MS Excel, Word and Outlook (Intermediate)
- Procurement systems (e.g PRONTO)
- In-depth knowledge of the Mining industry and PPE
