About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team in Germiston, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and purchasing, with experience in managing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods and services
Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives
Conduct market research and analysis to identify best value suppliers
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate records and reports on procurement activities

Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing or Procurement
3-4 years operational experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Buying environment
Preferably in a similar industry
Valid drivers license
Computer Literacy, MS Excel, Word and Outlook (Intermediate)
Procurement systems (e.g PRONTO)
In-depth knowledge of the Mining industry and PPE
In-depth knowledge of Procurement principles
Occupational Health and Safety Act knowledge
