About the Role

As a Warehouse Team Leader in Germiston, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to maximize customer service satisfaction and sales opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with people management skills or supervisory experience to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly stock takes of tyres, rims & accessories
  • Initiate and conduct weekly scrapping as required
  • Ensure minimum stock levels are maintained in stores as per SLA
  • Verify all dispatching of goods is correct and company protocols are followed
  • Cross-check picking slips and invoices
  • Maintain security of the dispatch area by locking gates except when loading a vehicle
  • Thoroughly check goods to relevant invoice
  • Complete all documents correctly to standards
  • Sign off on all necessary documents without exception
  • Hand in completed documentation correctly
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Be available for monthly stock takes
  • Check dispatch floor for goods ready to be loaded and arrange loading flow
  • Prioritize daily work load
  • Execute customer requests correctly
  • Monitor client service within SOP time milestones
  • Conduct spot checks on fitments done, on and off trucks/trailers
  • Ensure staff adhere to SOP
  • Offer solutions to faults found
  • Control consumables

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Team Leader experience (3-5 years) or people management skills
  • Supervisory experience or people management skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Tyres Knowledge is an added bonus
