About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Front of House / Food & Beverage manager to join our team at Bright Placements (PTY) Ltd in Grahamstown. As a key member of our hospitality management team, you will be responsible for leading the front-of-house operations and ensuring exceptional customer service standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage front-of-house staff and ensure seamless service delivery
- Oversee daily FOH operations, including food and beverage service standards
- Monitor and control inventory, maintain accurate stock levels, and optimize cost control
- Handle customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles
- Proven experience in FOH leadership and F&B operations
- Strong knowledge of restaurant or hotel front-of-house operations
- Understanding of food and beverage service standards
- Proficiency with POS systems and reservation platforms
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management (preferred, not always required)
Food Safety, Responsible Service of Alcohol, or equivalent certifications (depending on region)
