About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Debtors Clerk to join our luxury lodge in Hazyview, Mpumalanga. As a finance professional, you will be responsible for managing debtor accounts efficiently while supporting the financial operations of the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the full debtors function
- Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time
- Monitor debtor accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
- Reconcile debtor accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Allocate payments received to the correct accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Communicate with clients regarding account queries and payment follow-ups
- Prepare debtor reports for management when required
- Assist with month-end procedures and financial reconciliations
Requirements
- Strong understanding of debtor and accounts receivable processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience working with accounting systems
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional communication skills for client and internal liaison
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant finance or accounting qualification advantageous. Minimum 23 years experience in a Debtors Clerk or accounts receivable role. Previous experience within hospitality or lodge environments advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R17,000 – R18,000 CTC
