What the role involves:
- Assisting mechanics with day-to-day workshop work and vehicle handling
- Carrying out basic mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
- Doing basic inspections and identifying common vehicle components
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Following workshop procedures and safety standards
- Making sure tasks are completed properly and on time
What matters in this role:
- 3–4 years’ experience in a similar workshop environment
- A Red Seal qualification or relevant trade qualification (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail, shortcuts won’t work here
- Good time management and the ability to stay on track
- Someone who can work independently without constant instruction
- A clean and organised way of working
- A proactive mindset, you don’t wait to be told everything
- Able to handle pressure when the workshop is busy
