About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and mature Lodge Manager to oversee our luxury boutique safari lodge in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising a small team of staff to run the villa seamlessly
- Managing the lodge’s finances and budgets
- Planning and executing simple, great-tasting meals for up to 15 guests
- Maintaining the general maintenance of the lodge (plumbing, electrical etc.)
- Logistically planning for groups of people, including shopping, errands, and planning
- Performing small general repairs
- Ensuring the lodge is maintained on a preventative schedule
- Troubleshooting and adapting to unexpected circumstances
- Providing exceptional PA services to VIP clients
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in tourism management (beneficial)
- At least 3-5 years experience in a senior position in the hospitality industry at a 4/5* luxury lodge
- Proven experience in running a lodge/property without supervision, to a schedule and with integrity
- Valid drivers license with own vehicle essential
Qualifications
- First aid/ Health and Safety Certification (beneficial)
- Valid driver’s license
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 negotiable. Accommodation provided on site for the successful candidate. A partner could be accommodated, but no children/pets are allowed. Starting Date: May 2026
