Job Description:

Hire Resolve`s Leading Client are currently seeking a Mine Planning Specialist to join their team in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing mine plans to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity in our mining operations. The Mine Planning Specialist will work closely with the operations team to optimize mine sequencing and scheduling, design layouts, and manage resources effectively to meet production targets.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans to optimize production and resource utilization
– Conduct mine design and layout planning to ensure efficient extraction of ore
– Monitor and adjust mine plans as necessary to meet production targets and economic goals
– Work closely with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect relevant data and input for mine planning
– Utilize mine planning software and tools to analyze data, model scenarios, and optimize production schedules
– Provide guidance and support to the operations team to ensure smooth implementation of mine plans
– Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of mine plans to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
– Prepare reports and presentations to communicate mine planning strategies and results to management and stakeholders

Requirements:

– Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering or related field
– 5+ years of experience in mine planning and scheduling in the mining industry
– Proficiency in mine planning software such as Surpac, MineSight, or Deswik
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
– Knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards
– Experience working in the Northern Cape region is preferred
