About the Role
Our client, a market leader and operating out of Humansdorp, is currently seeking to employ an experienced Senior Services Technician to their team. A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance and fault-finding on utility systems
- Maintain MV/LV electrical systems
- Maintain boilers, compressors, refrigeration systems, HVAC, and water/wastewater plants
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Drive efficiency and reliability of utility services
- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and permit systems
- Manage hazardous chemical and ammonia plant safety protocols
- Maintain compliance with company and legal standards
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians
- Support maintenance planning and task allocation
- Coordinate contractors and service providers when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Use CMMS systems for job tracking and preventative maintenance
- Manage spare parts requirements and technical reports
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Trade Qualification (Electrical / Mechanical / Fitter / Millwright)
- N4 Technical Qualification
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience
- N5 Technical Qualification
- Supervisory qualification (NQF4)
- MV Switching Certification
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime
