About the Role

Irene Country Lodge is seeking an experienced and results-driven Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive profitability. The successful candidate will lead and develop the restaurant team while maintaining high standards of service, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day restaurant operations (front and back of house)
  • Lead, motivate, and manage restaurant staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Ensure excellent customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
  • Control costs, budgets, stock levels, and wastage
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and labour costs
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and labour regulations
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar senior hospitality role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
