<p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Servicing of new and existing customers</li><li>Market research and surveys</li><li>Completing of call reports</li><li>Cheque collections</li><li>Follow up calls</li><li>Assisting customers with technical advice and queries</li><li>Sales forecasts</li><li>Budget forecasts</li><li>Opening up of new accounts</li><li>Report writing</li><li>Assisting at the counter when required</li><li>Achieving monthly target</li><li>Establishing, developing and maintaining good customer relationships</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Weekly Sales Meetings</li><li>Weekly reporting on sales, GP and new business development</li><li>Daily feedback to Branch Managers on urgent sales issues as well as GP report</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Measurement</strong></p><ul><li>Achievement of sales and GP budgets</li><li>Overall growth across all Fluid Control products, i.e. Irrigation, Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Flanges</li><li>New accounts opened and sales generated from Cash Sales – Loyalties</li><li>Revival of dormant accounts</li><li>Fluid Control products from existing customers where these products were not sold before These targets can change from time to time</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Principal Accountabilities: Inventory – Fluid Control</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that we have the correct stockholding on Fluid Control to satisfy customer needs and requirements.</li><li>Managing of "dead" and slow-moving stock on Fluid Control along with Branch Managers.</li><li>Negotiate prices with suppliers on large buyout orders on Fluid Control products along with Branch Managers.</li><li>Purchase order processing and proper sign off procedure for Fluid Control products.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Principal Accountabilities: Staff Management – Fluid Control</strong></p><ul><li>Training of internal and external sales staff.</li><li>Assisting on quotations and large orders.</li><li>Provide updated supplier lists to staff to ensure Fluid Control product is purchased at</li><li>the right price from the correct supplier.</li><li>Provide staff with weekly specials lists on Fluid Control products.</li><li>Assist internal/external sales staff in closing deals on Fluid Control products.</li><li>Ensure necessary customer service levels are maintained by all staff.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Principal Accountabilities: Sales – Fluid Control</strong></p><ul><li>Ensuring that budgeted sales and GP targets on Fluid Control products are met.</li><li>Opening and following up on new accounts.</li><li>Making sure all customer details are updated op the system, should anything change.</li><li>Assist debtor's department with any account queries.</li><li>Processing of quotations and invoices.</li><li>Setting specials and monitoring of slow-moving stock daily.</li><li>Follow up on deliveries to customers.</li><li>Answering of incoming calls and converting enquiries into sales when at the office.</li><li>Following up on leads and turning them into sales.</li><li>Ensure that walk-in account and cash customers are served promptly by all sales staff when at the office.</li><li>Handling of customer complaints as well as repairs/returns.</li><li>Updating and correcting the selling prices on computer and or making sure it gets corrected for Fluid Control.</li><li>Updating Discount Matrix on a regular basis on Fluid Control.</li><li>Regularly updating price comparison with competitors and forward to management on Fluid Control.</li><li>Regularly evaluate the account customers buying experience and propose adjustments when necessary.</li><li>Ensure all EFT payments have been authorized before stock is released for Fluid Control. You would need to obtain an understanding of the current market in your designated area, and what other competitors are supplying to the market based on information covering pricing, product offerings, delivery schedules, merchandising and new product development etc.</p><p> You are required to achieve your set and approved monthly sales target and an overall gross profit margin as per the annual sales budget set annually by the company. The detailed annual sales budget will be split per customer per month for the specific region/area that is assigned to you. You are required to maintain and expand your customer database within the designated area monthly. Targets of growth will be required and will be agreed upon annually and monthly with Management.
