<p>Job Overview<br />The Debtors clerk responsibilities entail providing assistance in recovering <br />outstanding debt. To be successful in this role, you should possess the ability to show <br />off both your customer service &amp; collections skills, when liaising with our customers.<br />C. Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to:) <br /> Complete debtors function<br /> Ensure timeous and accurate recording of all invoices, debit and credit notes<br /> Monitoring of accounts to ensure that payments are received timeously and are <br />up to date<br /> Administering Debtors / Debt collection – Follow up on outstanding accounts<br /> Collect overdue monies and timeously flag overdue accounts to relevant staff <br />and management<br /> Daily, weekly and monthly reporting including age analysis, reconciliations, <br />processing<br /> Collect overdue monies and timeously flag overdue accounts to relevant staff <br />and management<br /> Accurate and constant follow up with customers regarding outstanding <br />payments<br /> Deal with queries from clients and reconciling of customer accounts where <br />necessary</p><p> </p><p>Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans<br /> Good time management skills, showing the ability to manage self and <br />prioritise tasks<br /> Be able to handle and deal with conflict situations<br /> Listening Skills<br /> Matric or equivalent qualifications<br /> Tertiary qualification (desirable but not essential)<br /> A good working knowledge of MS office and IT packages<br /> Computer literacy<br /> Impeccable business acumen in both written and communication skills<br /> Documentation Skills<br /> 2-3years experience in a similar role (Client Service / Debt Collection)<br /> Previous debt collect experience and techniques would be advantageous<br /> Excellent negotiations and communication skills</p>
