Job Description

Minimum Qualifications Lodge Manager Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or related field. Guide Recognised Tourist Guide qualification. Valid guiding certification and permits. First Aid certificate and valid drivers licence with PDP (where required). Experience 35 years experience in hospitality or lodge management. Previous guiding experience in a lodge, reserve, or safari environment. Experience in guest relations and staff supervision. Knowledge Lodge and hospitality operations. Wildlife, conservation, and tourism practices. Health and safety regulations. Customer service and guest experience management. Skills Leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Guiding and storytelling skills. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Organisational and administrative skills. Computer literacy and reservation system knowledge. Personal Attributes Friendly and professional. Passionate about hospitality and wildlife. Ability to work independently and as a team. Flexible and adaptable. Honest and responsible. Working Conditions Live-in position at a lodge or game reserve. Shift work, weekends, and public holidays. Outdoor work in various weather conditions. May involve remote locations. Reporting To Lodge Owner / General Manager
