We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bridge Team Leader to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design and construction of bridges and other structural projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the bridge team.
• Manage the design process of projects.
• Projects Resource Allocation and Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
• Design of bridges and associated road structural elements.
• Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management.
• Able to lead a design team and work under pressure. 
• Assist in preparation of proposals.
• Technical Report writing.
• Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.
• Entrepreneurial with high business acumen.

Requirements:

• BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering).
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration.
• Registered Bridge Inspector will be an advantage.
• 12 years plus experience in Bridge Design.
• Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD/Revit.
• Preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
• Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage.
• Experience in bridge hydrology and hydraulics will be an advantage.
• Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage
