About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the logistics industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve company growth targets.
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to secure repeat business.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, and tenders to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with internal departments (operations, finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM tools.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years proven sales or business development experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain solutions.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience preparing proposals, RFQs, and tenders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential if strong experience).
