About the Role
Our client is a cultural content platform and creative media organisation that focuses on spotlighting African creativity. They are seeking an exceptional writer to create, edit, and curate short- and long-form content across digital platforms, including social media, website articles, and features, while supporting video, music, literature, and podcast initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Write short- and long-form content
- Edit and curate content
- Conduct research and story-hunting in the field of contemporary African culture
- Commission content as required
- Work closely with the founder and team to manage projects
- Use Asana to track and manage work
Requirements
- University degree (Honours preferable)
- At least one full-time relevant job for a minimum of two years, in writing or content curation (preferred, not essential)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Creative and systems-oriented mindset
- Available full-time and based in Johannesburg or Cape Town
- Be comfortable on camera as part of content creation
