Job Summary
The candidate must have the following qualifications: – Grade 12 – Trade Certificate in Packaging Manufacturing Machine Minder is essential. (Corrugator Operator) – Minimum Supervisor course NQF 4 – Proficient in Office Suite Products – Proven track record in a leadership position of 5 years with managing a minimum of 20 employees – Written Safe Working Procedures – pass mark must be achieved. – A valid certificate for Accident & Incident investigation. – Emergency Evacuation Co- Ordinator Training – Previous experience in corrugated production management beneficial Job requirements: – Able to manage and lead a team; be innovative and a problem solver; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; – Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, and must be deadline-driven; – Must have good planning and organizing skills. – Experience in managing teams – Ability to deal with increasing complexity in processes and practices to achieve new opportunities and greater production output – Ability to work under pressure, independently, and long hours when needed – Maintain production standards within the prescribed targets. – Maintain minimum waste percentages in production – Able to identify training and development needs – Shift working essential Your key responsibilities: – Supervise and Control Manpower – Maintain production standards within the prescribed targets with minimum waste percentages in production – Identify training and development needs – Housekeeping standards are kept at high standard – Maintain customer delivery deadlines – Maintain proper communication and interaction with departments running the corrugator – Maintain Health & Safety standards at all times – Maintain administrative functions at all times – Institute disciplinary actions where required – Attend relevant meetings representing the production department
