Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Data Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of their data infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow with the company and develop a diverse
technical skillset across the stack.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and maintain relational databases for storing and managing structured data.

  • Develop and optimize the data analysis engine to support internal insights and reporting.

  • Create and maintain data pre-processing systems to clean and structure incoming datasets.

  • Work with large volumes of raw data, including cleaning, transforming, and organizing it for usability.

  • Handle routine data maintenance tasks such as backups, data loads, and exports.


Minimum Requirements: 

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Solid knowledge of Python or Node.js.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture and services (S3, Lambda, RDS).

  • Exposure to data science tools or concepts, including Deep Learning or LLMs.

  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms like KNIME or Fowgear.

  • Basic understanding of Git and GitHub for version control.

  • Experience building or maintaining Power BI reports.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve’s client, who offers tax recovery solutions for institutions and individuals resulting in maximized investment performance, is searching for a dynamic and experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg.

????????????????:

  • Own the full lifecycle of the product/platform from ideation to release

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with business objectives

  • Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories

  • Work closely with engineering teams to build and enhance the platform

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality tech solutions

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (CEO, COO, engineering, sales) and development teams

  • Gather and prioritize feature requests and feedback from users or clients

  • Run and manage the product independently with minimal oversight

  • Make strategic and tactical decisions to drive product growth and performance

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible and scalable

????????????:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing technology products

  • Proven ability to independently run and own a product with minimal oversight

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, backlog management, and roadmap development

  • Experience building or managing tech platforms

  • Background in Engineering and/or Computer Science (preferred but not essential)

  • Experience working in or with companies that build their own technology products

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive decisions

  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience

  • Experience with Salesforce is a strong advantage

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

  • Must be able to work from the office in Johannesburg (hybrid may be considered)

An established fintech company is seeking a skilled Data Engineer based in Johannesburg, Gauteng to help build and maintain a modern data ecosystem that drives data-informed decision-making and operational excellence. This high-impact role involves designing scalable data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering actionable insights across a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration workflows.
  • Integrate and transform data from various sources (APIs, cloud, spreadsheets, ERP systems).
  • Manage PostgreSQL databases and support clean data ingestion from systems like Odoo.
  • Automate reports and dashboards using AWS QuickSight or Excel.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot data operations in Linux environments

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Data Engineering or Data Operations role.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight) and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) and handling large Excel datasets.

Job Summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a talented Data Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that specializes in developing innovative CRM systems, designed to help businesses manage and enhance customer relationships. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in optimizing data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration, and driving insights that enhance the overall CRM experience for users. Responsibilities

  • Automate repetitive data workflows to improve processing efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for accurate and streamlined data collection, transformation, and storage.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of data processes, systems, and workflows for transparency and future reference.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and external platforms, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Manage and enhance database systems with a focus on data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for efficient data flow and management.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
    • Knowledge of big data tools and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
    • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
    • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
    • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or in a similar role.
  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
