About the Role
Telebest is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will be responsible for managing engineering specifications, completing technical audits and inspections, and identifying maintenance risks on client equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage engineering specifications in the region for new assets and the maintenance of existing assets.
- Complete highly technical maintenance and statutory asset audits and inspections.
- Identify maintenance risks on clients’ equipment for evaluation and resolution via FRL & Risk Notification processes.
- Review and contribute to scopes of works, maintenance strategies and maintenance tactics.
- React to major equipment failures as first responder in order to return to service as soon as possible.
- Manage vendors, suppliers, contractors and OEMs in order to bring equipment back to services and manage specifications for its operations, maintenance and extension of asset life cycle.
Requirements
- N6/ National Diploma: Mechanical/Electrical or related formal qualification
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Code B Drivers License
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
- OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
- Minimum 3 years experience in Facilities Maintenance
- Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering

- Formal education/certifications: N6/ National Diploma: Mechanical/Electrical or related formal qualification (if applicable)
