About the Role

Telebest is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will be responsible for managing engineering specifications, completing technical audits and inspections, and identifying maintenance risks on client equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage engineering specifications in the region for new assets and the maintenance of existing assets.
Complete highly technical maintenance and statutory asset audits and inspections.
Identify maintenance risks on clients’ equipment for evaluation and resolution via FRL & Risk Notification processes.
Review and contribute to scopes of works, maintenance strategies and maintenance tactics.
React to major equipment failures as first responder in order to return to service as soon as possible.
Manage vendors, suppliers, contractors and OEMs in order to bring equipment back to services and manage specifications for its operations, maintenance and extension of asset life cycle.

Requirements

N6/ National Diploma: Mechanical/Electrical or related formal qualification
Matric (Senior Certificate)
Code B Drivers License
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
Minimum 3 years experience in Facilities Maintenance
Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering

Qualifications

Formal education/certifications: N6/ National Diploma: Mechanical/Electrical or related formal qualification (if applicable)
