About the Role
A leading professional services firm specializing in quantity surveying and cost management for major infrastructure and building projects, is currently seeking a highly experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to join their Richards Bay team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual with strong technical expertise and a track record in both civil engineering and building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee quantity surveying duties for building and civil engineering projects from inception to completion
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documentation using WINQS and DimX
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis
- Monitor project costs and progress through MS Project and on-site inspections
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure effective cost control and delivery
- Provide professional advice and support on contractual matters
- Regular travel to multiple construction sites as part of project requirements
Requirements
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience in building and civil engineering projects
- Proven background within a well-known and reputable PQS firm
- Professional Registration as a PrQS with SACQSP
- BTech or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Proficiency in WINQS, DimX, and MS Project
