Job Description: Lead and develop a mechanical engineering team, providing guidance on pressure vessel design, fabrication, inspection, and maintenance. Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements. Ensure all mechanical designs and activities comply with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, ISO, and PED . Drive process improvements, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, safety, and technical excellence. Collaborate with operations, fabrication, inspection, and project management teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions Skills & Experience: Minimum 10 years mechanical engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, 5 years at an executive level Extensive experience with pressure vessels, including design, analysis, inspection, and maintenance Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASME standards Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects Strong project management skills with experience in planning, budgeting, and execution Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering Professionally registered Mechanical Engineer (Pr. Eng) Proven experience in leading mechanical engineering projects in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to sites as required Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
