Johannesburg: Finance Manager (6 month contract)

Key Responsibilities: Lead the financial accounting function for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS, the Insurance Act, and other relevant regulations. Prepare accurate management accounts, oversee tax reporting, and ensure timely submission of all statutory and regulatory filings. Drive process automation, maintain data integrity across financial reporting systems, and implement continuous improvements. Establish and maintain robust governance, accounting policies, and internal controls across the Group. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for the finance team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture. Partner with operational teams and business units to provide strategic financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to business decision-making. Support new product onboarding, business strategy initiatives, and cross-functional projects. Key Outputs & Success Measures: Ensure IFRS compliance and accuracy of all financial statements. Deliver timely, insightful management accounts and tax reporting. Drive operational efficiency through process automation and data integrity initiatives. Maintain strong governance, controls, and policy adherence across all finance functions. Develop and retain a high-caliber finance team. Provide actionable business insights and financial guidance to support strategic objectives. Minimum Requirements: Qualification: NQF Level 7 Finance Degree (CA(SA) or CIMA). Experience: 58 years financial accounting experience within the financial or insurance sector, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role. Strong knowledge of the financial sector and insurance industry, including IFRS 17. Advanced IT and system skills, with the ability to manage complex reporting processes.
