About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and oversight of the full finance function. With a strong background in financial management within the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial performance.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee costing processes, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work in Progress (WIP) management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (SAICA/SAIPA advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years experience in a financial management role.
- Exposure to the manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), Work in Progress (WIP), and costing processes.
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution is essential.
- Fluent in Afrikaans (Written and Spoken).
- Strong knowledge of Accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience with B-BBEE compliance and reporting will be an advantageous.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is R45k – R55k CTC per month, which is a market-related salary considering the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience.
