About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to lead our finance function in Johannesburg. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and driving the FP&A function, providing strategic insights to inform business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth logistics and distribution leader and make a significant impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse revenue streams across segments and regions; identify trends in price, volume, and mix to inform commercial strategy.
- Monitor Cost of Sales (COS) and analyse cost drivers related to staff and subcontractors.
- Design and maintain executive dashboards; deliver monthly performance reviews and variance analysis.
- Develop robust cashflow models and provide scenario modelling/sensitivity analysis to guide executive decisions.
- Own the annual budgeting process and implement rolling forecasts to improve agility.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CA(SA) highly advantageous).
- 5 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within logistics, courier, or transportation sectors.
- Expert financial modelling and proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in an environment that lacks existing sophisticated financial structures.
Qualifications
- CA(SA) registration is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R1m – R1.2m (Negotiable).
