Youll lead the Data Management and Analytics Centre of Excellence, partnering with senior leadership to design and execute enterprise-wide data and analytics strategies that are compliant, scalable, and transformative. Key Responsibilities: Lead the enterprise data and analytics strategy, aligning it with business priorities to deliver measurable impact. Champion data governance and quality, ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards. Define and implement data management frameworks, including architecture, lineage, metadata, and master data management. Partner with IT to build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure for scalable analytics execution. Oversee analytics use cases across functions such as Finance, Risk, HR, Compliance, and Actuarial. Drive a data-driven culture, embedding consistent practices across all business units. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability. Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Masters preferred). Minimum 8 years experience in data, analytics, or technology roles within banking, telecommunications, or insurance. At least 3 years in a leadership capacity with proven success in enterprise data initiatives. Strong expertise in Azure Synapse, SQL, and data integration, metadata, and master data management platforms. Deep understanding of data governance and compliance within South African regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated success translating business strategy into actionable data-driven solutions.
