About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Practitioner to join our team at SA Metal in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support to management and employees, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, procedures and compliance within the South African labour legislative framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including screening, interviewing, assessments and appointment recommendations.
- Identify organisational and individual training needs and support implementation of skills development initiatives.
- Maintain and utilise HR information systems to support workforce planning and people management.
- Advise management and employees on HR policies and ensure compliance with labour legislation.
- Guide and support the effective implementation of performance management processes.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and rehabilitation processes internally and externally (CCMA).
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management
- 8-10 years experience in the Human Resources Field
- CCMA experience in successfully running with conciliations and arbitrations
- Demonstrated experience in drafting formal HR documentation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills on all levels
- Confidentiality, tact and discretion essential when dealing with people
- Computer Literacy viz. Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Professional and interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Ability to multi-task and manage demanding workload in a pressurised environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to think on your feet
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results
