About the Role
HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our client’s team in Durban, working within schools and private universities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering management, excellent leadership skills, and a focus on quality control and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 7+ staff members
- Ensure consistent product and service quality
- Maintain high standards of controls and hygiene
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Utilize own transport to travel between locations
Requirements
- Matric & relevant catering qualification
- Minimum 4 years experience in Catering Management role within industrial catering
- School experience is a solid advantage
- Proven management skills, particularly in controlling and maintaining consistent hygiene standards
- Ability to work on your feet with hands-on involvement with the team
