Johannesburg: Investment Analyst Contract posted by Hire Resolve

Are you a CA(SA) with a strong background in end-to-end audits and a passion for corporate credit analysis across Africa? Were working with a dynamic investment team based in Remotely looking to bring on board an Investment Analyst for a fixed-term contract running from August 2025 to February 2026 with strong potential for extension.

This role would suit someone with a statistical mind, sharp forecasting ability, and the confidence to stand their ground in high-level credit discussions. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with unlisted transactions, across industries such as mining, minerals, and agriculture, and should thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualified CA(SA), ideally with 45 years post-articles experience
Articles completed at a smaller firm or entrepreneurial setup experience with full audit cycles is essential
Strong analytical and forecasting skills with statistical intuition
Logical thinker who can think outside the box and make clear, well-backed recommendations
Willingness to travel into Sub-Saharan Africa (up to one week per month), including countries like Zambia, Ghana, Uganda, and Rwanda
Corporate and SME analysis experience not suitable for retail-focused analysts
Ability to present clearly and persuasively to credit committees and internal stakeholders

Reviewing and analysing unlisted investment transactions
Preparing and presenting credit papers
Evaluating risk exposure across clients and countries
Performing stress testing, collateral reviews, and portfolio monitoring
Working with various stakeholders in a fast-moving, high-impact environment

Location: Remote
Contract: Fixed-Term (Aug 2025 Feb 2026)
Travel: 1 week per month (Sub-Saharan Africa)
Salary: R85K R95K per month, based on experience
