Johannesburg: Laboratory Analyst – FMCG

Key Responsibilities Conduct chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, pH meters, balances). Perform routine quality control checks in line with company and regulatory requirements. Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and timeously. Ensure laboratory practices comply with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards . Participate in internal and external audits; provide technical support for compliance. Investigate and report on product quality deviations and non-conformances. Maintain laboratory stock, reagents, and consumables inventory. Uphold good laboratory practices (GLP), including safety, hygiene, and documentation protocols. Qualifications & Experience National Diploma / Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field . Minimum 24 years laboratory experience in an FMCG, food, or beverage environment. Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 17025 requirements. Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and testing methods. Strong data analysis, reporting, and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office; LIMS experience is advantageous.
